No Doubt is returning to the stage in 2009 after a five year hiatus. Although no exact tour dates have been announced, Gwen Stefani told Rolling Stone Magazine that, “I think if we go out on tour it will inspire us to write.” The band has started working on their next album, their first since the release of 2001′s Rock Steady. Gwen Stefani has been busy as a mother, she now has two sons with grunge musician Gavin Rossdale and has embarked on an extremely successful solo career which she launched in 2004 with the album Love. Angel. Music. Baby. Her next solo effort also proved to be an enormous success internationally, called The Sweet Escape. A return to the stage with No Doubt is a sign to fans that this is one rock group that simply won’t just disappear.
